⚠️ Catch-All

• Meaning:
  The domain accepts all email addresses, even randomly generated ones.
• Risk:
  ⚠️ Email may appear valid, but it is risky to send or count it as valid.
• Suggestion:
  Proceed with caution or apply additional validation before sending, like Inbox Checker feature.

❓ Unknown

• Meaning:
  • No response received from the destination server.
  • Likely timed out while establishing a connection.
• Result:
  ❓ Email address status couldn’t be verified.

⏭️ Skipped

• Meaning:
  • The email address returned a SMTP timeout error On the first scan from the customer mail server to the target mail server.
  • The system applied built-in logic to skip future scans for this MX server.
• Why it’s useful:
  • Helps avoid repeated timeouts.
  • Preserves IP reputation by avoiding re-requests to known-failing servers for the customer mail server.

How to Disable the “Skipped” Status

If you want to stop the Skipped status from occurring in the future:

1️⃣ Clear Existing Filters

• Navigate to:
  Settings > Filters
• Action:
  🔄 Delete existing MX Filters

2️⃣ Turn Off Filter Options

Go to:
Settings > Email Scanner, then disable the following two toggles:

▪️ Filter – Skip MX Server

• Function:
  Skips MX servers that show connection issues.
• Benefit:
  • Reduces failed verification attempts.
  • Preserves IP reputation.
  • ✅ If enabled, it activates the MX Server Filter in Settings > Filters.
  • ❌ If disabled, it will deactivate the MX Server Filter. Scans may end up receiving many invalid statuses instead.

▪️ Skip Email Address

• Function:
  Skips specific email addresses from scanning.
• Effect:
  • ✅ If enabled, it activates the Email Address Skip Filter in Settings > Filters.
  • ❌ If disabled, it removes the Email Address Skip Filter.
